About the NWATA

Athletic training is practiced by athletic trainers, health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment,
functional limitations, and disabilities.

NWATA.org was created by the Athletic Trainers in District 10 of the NATA to help disseminate information that is critical to the issues that affect the our membership and to help educate the public about a vital group of health professionals that is working in many different venues working with the active people of all ages.

All District Scholarship are awarded based on applications submitted to the NATA.  For more information please visit the website for qualifications and instructions.

 

ANNOUCEMENT!!  A NEW SCHOLARSIP IN THE DISTRICT!

St. Lukes Sports Medicine has agreed to award (1) $500 scholarship to a student interested in Emerging Practices.  Recipients should make sure to address this as an area of interest when filling out the general scholarship application through the NATA.

Dale Blair, a NWATA Hall of Fame member, is the Scholarship Committee Chairman.  Dale has served as a member of the NWATA Scholarship Committee for the past 23 years (since June 1988).  He says “It has been my privilege to read hundreds of applications of students that have gone on to be current leaders in our profession.”
