Preceptor Chat Series
The goal of the Professional Education Committee Preceptor Chats initiative is to provide and promote a preceptor led/preceptor attended monthly professional development opportunity.
These peer-to-peer sessions will establish a forum for preceptor learning and promotion of clinical teaching skills and techniques. NATA members who serve as preceptors for professional degree programs, will have the opportunity to develop, lead, moderate and attend chat sessions though a virtual platform sessions. The chats are moderated by a preceptor with a specialty or interest in an area of clinical education. These are not presentations but rather chats designed to connect preceptors and promote learning in a way that may not have been previously possible.
Engaging preceptors from various programs throughout the world creates a needed community experience for new and seasoned preceptors alike.
Master Preceptor Development Program
The Master Preceptor development program is designed to provide opportunities for practicing clinicians who have an interest and passion for serving as preceptors to develop and advance expertise in clinical teaching. Skills gained through completing these modules should serve to assist preceptors in effectively facilitating and supporting high quality clinical learning experiences for athletic training students.
These modules can be found on the NATA Professional Development Center
